Southwest Tennessee Community College had a rapidly growing Nursing, Natural Sciences, and Biotechnology program, and was forced to turn away qualified students due to the lack of classroom space and adequate facilities. Fleming helped Southwest develop and build a new facility that includes nursing classrooms, simulation labs, large and small lecture rooms, computer labs, biotechnology labs, biology, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, and administrative suites for both the Nursing and Natural Sciences departments. A 250 seat auditorium accommodates large classes, long distance learning, and university meetings. Various sized study spaces are also scattered throughout the facility to meet the students’ needs. A DNA design can be seen throughout the building, integrated into the terrazzo flooring, accent ceiling elements, and building signage.
